Cycling For Bryan – Charity Ride
Katie from Recoverysafe takes on a challenge of a lifetime with the support of husband Mark Recoverysafe.
Mark and I have always been up for a challenge and helping others, when a friend of ours approached us and ask if we would like to join him in raising money for MND ( Motor Neurones Disease ) we stepped up for the challenge straight away.
The challenge is to cycle from John O Grouts to Lands End over 10 days. A team of 7 of us will be taking on the whole ride and others will be joining us along the way.
Mark was straight up for supporting the team looking after us all, while we cycle the whole of Great Britain. Yes guess what this means Mark is driving the nearly 1000 miles that we will be cycling. He will be feeding us bananas and energy bars all the way…
This challenge is taking Mark and I way from work over the 10 days and we both have been putting in a lot time into training …me cycling around the countryside getting the miles in and Mark learning how to service our bikes. With the great help of team bike mechanic Toby Monks who works at our local bike store Evan Cycles. Toby lives in our village and he has given up a lot of time to support and help us.
I’m really looking forward to the challenge and experience of this ride it’s going to be amazing to spend time enjoying the British countryside, I know that it’s going to be hard work getting on the bike every day after cycling 100 miles the day before and it’s going to be exhausting, but I’m up for the challenge and raising as much money as we can for a great cause, Motor Neurones Disease effects such a lot of people.
Were so grateful to all the people that are supporting us with this challenge.
